Due to unforeseen circumstances, there is a possibility of canceling the 7th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner. An expected crowd surpassing twice last years attendance of 824 folks - due to the current economic situation, may result in not having enough resources to provide enough meals and a lack of volunteer support, may cancel this years event.

This dinner has been throughout the years privately supported by many individuals and businesses, which this year, many are in need of, help themselves. Being a privately sponsored event, there is no assistance from the city, 2 city council members have attended the dinner thru the years - one past councilman that was recently re elected in for next year and unfortunately one councilman that this will be the last year. Volunteer help in the past, has come from over all over Southern California, some folks from - Apple Valley, Carlsbad, Pasadena, Banning and more. Thousands of folks have been served a Free Thanksgiving Dinner throughout the years!

There are still possibilities being explored to keep this dinner, which the final decision will be announced on either 11-19-09 or 11-20-09. Canceling this year’s dinner will be a disappointment to many, as it has served thousands of folks since its beginning years ago.
