Norco, CA: 7th Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner

Everyone Invited For the 7th year, there will be a free Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at Silverado Burgers & Mexican Food 1091 6th Street Norco, Ca 92860 from 11 am - 4 pm on Thanksgiving Day November 26, 2009.

Everyone is invited, no reservations required! This dinner since its start 7 years ago - has served thousands of folks. It has served folks from all over the region, some driving over 40 miles to come have a nice meal. We have served folks who do not have the ability to have a nice meal, some who do not have anyone to spend the holiday with, and many working during the holiday such as Law Enforcement, E.M.S. Crews, and many more working the holiday. Last years attendance was 824 folks and it grows annually, especially this year with current difficult economic times and record home foreclosures.

Last year there were several families who live in motels in Corona who walked many miles to attend the dinner. What makes this dinner unique is it is not run by any organization. This event is made possible by the host restaurant - Silverado Burgers & Mexican Food, many volunteers, some drive over 30 miles to come & help, and many businesses, organizations, and more.

Thanks to the help of everyone this event continues to grow and plans are to hold more throughout the region, state & beyond in the near future.
